This Python program/library is designed to handle GD-ROM image (GDI) files. It can be used to list files, extract data, generate sorttxt file, extract bootstrap (IP.BIN) file and more. This project can be used in standalone mode, in interactive mode or as a library in another Python program (check the 'addons' folder to learn how). For your convenience, you can use the gditools.py GUI program supplied in the Files section (optional). To use this project you must install the Python 2.7.x branch release binaries. The Avocado language is compiled and currently allows for the creation of console applications. Work on Avocado and the integrated development environment (IDE) began on February 19, 2025. A unique feature of this language is the ability to write commands in Polish and English, compiling code into .exe format. The language is freely available for commercial and non-commercial projects. The Avocado source code is available under the MIT License on GitHub. Avocado is transpiled to Free Pascal and then compiled by the FPC compiler, making it as fast as C or Rust, but with syntax reminiscent of Python.
